The Florida Constitution Revision Commission submitted a proposed constitutional revision related to greyhound racing along with a ballot title and summary to the Department of State for inclusion on the 2018 General Election Ballot. The Florida Greyhound Association filed suit in the trial court claiming the ballot title and summary are defective and misleading. The trial court agreed. On appeal, the First District Court of Appeal certified the case to this Court for immediate review as being of great public importance.
