2/11/21 Florida Supreme Court Oral Arguments: State of Florida v. Khadafy Kareem Mullens SC19-1587

Mullens pleaded guilty to the first-degree murders of Ronald Hayworth and Mohammad Uddin, who were fatally shot in 2008. He waived his right to a penalty phase before a jury, and the trial judge sentenced him to death for each murder. This Court upheld each sentence on direct appeal, and Mullens filed a post-conviction challenge in trial court. The State appeals and Mullens cross-appeals the ruling.
