The FLORIDA Channel Education Resource Center is provided as a service to Floridians, educators, and students. Information provided is intended for use in the home and the classroom to assist in educating you about the State of Florida. Other subjects, such as history, science, and biology, are also addressed as they relate to our state.

The Great Floridians biography is a production of WFSU-TV/The Florida Channel and is based on the Great Floridians program administered by the Department of State’s Division of Historical Resources. The Department of State presents the award annually in recognition of the outstanding achievements of an individual who has made major contributions to the progress and welfare of Florida.

The Florida Memory Project, provided by the Florida Department of State, offers educational and historical resources including features like the Online Classroom, the Florida Photographic Collection, and Highlights of Florida History.
