Prior to 2014, there wasn’t a lot of momentum behind efforts to legalize medical marijuana of any kind in Florida.  But that quickly changed as parents appealed to lawmakers and asked them to allow their children-some of whom suffered from hundreds of seizures a day- to use a form of cannabis known as Charlotte’s Web.  This is the story of how they succeeded in convincing the skeptics, how the state – despite numerous delays – eventually carried out the law and how these young patients are faring today.
