State Senators and Representatives filed almost 2,000 bills for the 2025 Legislative Session.  Before the session was extended, they passed 255 of them.  In this edition of Florida Crossroads, we recap some of the legislation that gained approval in both the House and Senate, including two of the first bills the Governor signed that put the name “Gulf of America” instead of “Gulf of Mexico” in state statute. We also look at a last-minute challenge to a bill that would ban hotels, golf courses and other major development from state parks.
