The United Nations reports that in the late 1980s, the world’s oceans reached maximum productivity for generating wild-caught seafood. To help meet the demands of a growing human population, researchers at the Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute at FAU are developing and testing methods of producing more fish and shellfish through aquaculture.
