At one point, vibrant downtowns were falling by the wayside in favor of shopping centers and malls.  Then, Florida began taking part in a program developed by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.  Since 1985, Florida’s Main Street program has helped revitalize more than 40 communities with more participating every year.  In this episode, we’ll visit Florida’s Main Streets and learn how the program has helped preserve historic buildings, boost local economies and save downtowns.
