It’s a Law: SB 86 – Hope Cards for Persons Issued Orders of Protection & HB 385 – Safe Exchange of Minor Children

The state has two new laws aimed at protecting Floridians from abusive or dangerous partners or ex-partners. Every county must now provide a safe, monitored location for parents to exchange children with an ex. And this fall, Florida will offer wallet-sized “Hope Cards” to Floridians who have protective orders against an abuser. The cards outline the orders’ critical information.
