Governor DeSantis signed SB 1622, a bill that repeals a 2018 law that had limited public access to beaches and barred local governments from passing ordinances regarding their recreational customary use. The bill also streamlines beach renourishment projects across some of the state’s Gulf Coast counties. The bill is effective upon its signature.
