It’s a Law: HB 21 – Dozier School for Boys and Okeechobee School Victim Compensation Program

A new law provides money for surviving abuse victims of the Dozier School for Boys, a now closed state reform school. House Bill 21 appropriates 20 million dollars to be split between survivors who apply for compensation. The bill is effective July 1, 2024
