It’s a Law 2026: SB 1296 Public Employees Relations Commission & HB 1279 Education

The Governor signs a bills making it more difficult for teachers unions to stay active in districts with lower union participation. Another new law allows districts to give extra pay to effective teachers moving to low-performing schools.
