November 15, 2010: Florida Crossroads: Gator Farming: An Evolving Industry

Alligators have been around for millions of years….fascinating and sometimes frightening people with their dinosaur-like bodies. Florida is home to two types of crocodilians – the American Crocodile and the more common American Alligator. While alligators are often seen in swamps, lakes and rivers throughout Florida, they are also found on more than 50 farms across the state. In this program, a look at how the exotic reptile has become big business.
