Capitol Update – Week Ending 10/30/2026

Capitol Update is a review of state government.  Topics this week focus on: 

• State agency heads updated the Chamber of Commerce on hurricane insurance response, education for the workforce, flying cars and more. 
• The Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission got public input on how to save oystering in the Big Bend fishery.
• An operation that parachuted beavers into the wilderness in 1948 was used by a panel of experts to discuss the future of Artificial Intelligence in the legal system.
