Capitol Update – Week Ending 10/02/2026

Capitol Update is a review of state government.  Topics this week focus on:

• After a Cabinet vote, more than 100 organizations are now designated as terrorist groups by the State of Florida.
• Florida’s minimum wage increased to $15 under a constitutional amendment approved by voters.  
• The Governor announced upgrades and new restaurants coming to Florida Turnpike travel centers.
