Capitol Update – Week Ending 09/11/2026

Capitol Update is a review of state government.  Topics this week focus on:

• The Legislative Budget Commission met to discuss the state’s financial outlook.
• Attorney General James Uthmeier announced that his office would be helping to draft legislation regarding artificial intelligence ahead of the next legislative session.
• Visitors to St. Augustine will have a new way to view the various historical sites around the city with the city’s new archaeology trail.
