Capitol Update – Week Ending 11/29/2024

This Thanksgiving week edition of Capitol Update reviews some of the state government action in 2024 that Floridians can be thankful for.  Topics include:  

• Courts around the state held adoption ceremonies to officially unite children with their forever families and draw attention to the 3600 kids in Florida still in need of a permanent home.
• The Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission achieved a milestone in its effort to save Florida’s grasshopper sparrow from extinction.
• We highlight the work of school kids declared finalists in Florida’s Space Art Contest and the two grand prize creations that will be flown into space.
