Capitol Update is a weekly review of state government.  This week’s topics include:   

• The Florida Legislature returns for the 2025 session with a Republican supermajority once again.

• The Speaker-Designate is overhauling the House committee structure and the Senate President-Designate named majority session leaders.

• The Florida Supreme Court takes itself out of a lawsuit involving two video game champs and Florida’s ban on secretly recording phone calls.
