Capitol Update – Week Ending 09/20/2024

Capitol Update is a weekly review of state government.  This week’s topics include:   

• The Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission placed the whitetip shark on the prohibited species list and voted to streamline the process for removing derelict vessels.

• The Board of Governors of the State University System proposed changes to give themselves more control over the selection of university presidents.

• Artists from the Seminole and Miccosukee Tribes of Florida demonstrated their skills and creative process at the Historic State Capitol.
