Capitol Update – Week Ending 08/23/2024

Capitol Update is a weekly review of state government.  This week’s topics include:

• The Board of Education approved new standards for Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten and a new rule on objecting to books in schools.
• The Florida Park Service announced plans to put hotels, golf courses and other recreational facilities in nine state parks.
• The Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission is asking Floridians to help count wild turkeys.
