Capitol Update – Week Ending 07/12/2024

Capitol Update is a weekly review of state government.  This week’s topics include:   

• The Financial Impact Estimating Conference will meet again after failing to reach a consensus on the potential government financial impact of the abortion amendment on the ballot this fall.
• The Department of Transportation is holding a series of focus groups on highway needs over the next 30 years. 
• The Department of Juvenile Justice highlighted its new “Scholars Academy” for educating young people in DJJ facilities.
