Capitol Update – Week Ending 05/31/2024

Capitol Update is a weekly review of state government.  This week’s topics include:   

• The State Board of Education adopted updated training requirements for school librarians and media specialists on determining if material is appropriate for children.
• The Governor signed more bills into law, including one that allows homeowners to make their homes more hurricane-resistant even if their HOA says no. 
• Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nunez launched the 2024 Python Challenge.
