Capitol Update – Week Ending 04/12/2024

Capitol Update is a weekly review of state government.  This week’s topics include:     

• The Governor signed more than a dozen bills into law, including five meant to protect children from predators and abuse.  
• Insurance Commissioner Michael Yaworsky said he’s seeing signs of improvement in Florida’s property insurance market.
• The Florida Highway Patrol reported no significant issues during spring break this year.
