Capitol Update – Week Ending 09/15/2023

Capitol Update is a weekly review of state government.  This week’s topics include:     

• So many students are using the state’s new voucher program for private schools that the state may need to kick in more money.
• Florida’s Surgeon General said no one under 65 should get a COVID booster; Democrats in the Legislature spoke out against that position.
• The Florida Forest Service gave some foster kids training on how to fight wildfires.
