Capitol Update is a weekly review of state government.  Topics this week include:   

  • A federal judge heard testimony in a case challenging the Governor’s removal from office of elected Hillsborough County State Attorney Andrew Warren.
  • The Department of Management Services took public comment on a new rule that defines permissible public speech and activity at the Capitol and other state buildings.
  • The Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission approved a Springs Protection Zone for Nichols Spring, and voted not to lift a ban on commercial breeding of diamondback terrapins.
