Capitol Update – Week Ending 08/05/2022

Capitol Update is a weekly review of state government.  Topics this week include:   

• The Governor appointed 15^th Judicial Circuit Judge Renatha Francis to the Supreme Court – for the second time.
• The Governor suspended the State Attorney in Hillsborough County, saying Andrew Warren would not uphold Florida’s ban on abortion after 15 weeks.
• The Florida Board of Medicine agreed to move forward with a proposal by Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo to ban transgender medical treatments for minors.
