Capitol Update – Week Ending 04/08/2022

Governor Ron DeSantis signed more than 40 bills, including several dealing with health care, mental health and substance abuse.
A survey on intellectual freedom was emailed to university faculty, staff and students after a judge denied a request for an injunction to stop it.
Governor DeSantis presented a Governor’s Medal of Freedom to 103-year old Ben Ferencz, who successfully prosecuted Nazi war criminals at the Nuremberg Trials.
