Capitol Update – Week Ending 04/03/2020

Capitol Update is a weekly review of state government. Topics this week include:    .

• After mounting pressure from elected officials and many Floridians, the Governor enacted a statewide stay at home order in hopes of curtailing the spread of coronavirus.
• After much back and forth, two cruise ships were allowed to dock at Port Everglades – bringing people either sick with coronavirus or healthy in quarantine with them.
• With hundreds of thousands of people facing unemployment the phone calls are pouring into the state’s workforce agency – as they struggle to address with the influx.
