Capitol Update – Week Ending 12/21/2018

Capitol Update is a weekly review of state government. Topics this week include:

• The Board of Education approved former House Speaker Richard Corcoran as the next Education Commissioner.
• State economists forecast extra revenue to consider in next year’s state budget, largely due to greater tax revenues during a healthy economy.
• State Legislators met with constituents in delegation gatherings across the state, to listen to concerns they want lawmakers to address in the next session.
