Capitol Update – Week Ending 08/31/2018

Capitol Update is a weekly review of state government.  Topics this week include:

• Team coverage of primary results, including winners and losers in races for Governor, Attorney General, and Agriculture Commissioner.
• The Florida Supreme Court decided to hear oral arguments on lower court rulings that ordered proposed constitutional amendments on education and crime victims’ rights off the ballot.
• The Supreme Court heard oral arguments on a Stand Your Ground case involving a Broward Sheriff’s Deputy.
