Capitol Update – Week Ending 04/11/2025

Capitol Update is a weekly review of state government.  This week’s topics include:   

• The Senate unveiled a tax cut plan that includes eliminating sales tax on clothing and shoes costing $75 or less.
• The House and Senate passed their respective budget proposals, teeing them up for Conference. 
• A House committee pressed the Secretary of AHCA on why a legal settlement over state funds included a $10 million donation to the Hope Florida Foundation.
