• A House committee approved a slew of education bills, including one that allows “patriotic groups” like the Boy and Girls Scouts and FFA to distribute materials at schools.
• Bills were passed honoring the late Jimmy Buffett and lawmakers sang and celebrated “Jimmy Buffett Day” at the Capitol.
