Our Commitment

The FLORIDA Channel is committed to providing a digital experience that is accessible to the widest possible audience. We strive to ensure that our web content conforms to ADA Title II requirements and the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards.

Accessibility Features

1. Closed Captioning

The Florida Channel utilizes human captions for its TV 24/7 stream and AI-driven Automated Speech Recognition (ASR) captions for other live streams. Captions on archived programming are provided by humans and AI. Accuracy of AI captions is dependent on high-quality audio.

Reduced caption accuracy may be experienced during events featuring:

  • Significant background noise (music, crowds, or HVAC systems)

  • Overlapping dialogue or rushed/muffled speaking

  • Distance from the microphone or shared microphone use

  • Any physical obstruction of a speaker’s voice
