• A Senate committee advanced the bill that would require parental consent before a minor can have an abortion.
• A House committee approved a bill that includes a priority of House Speaker Jose Oliva – giving nurses with advanced degrees and training more autonomy in treating patients.
• Another House committee approved a bill that would require doctors to issue all prescriptions electronically.
