Capitol Update is daily review of state government during the Legislative Session. Today’s topics include:

• Budget negotiators met over the weekend but still have differences going into the last week of session.
• The House spent hours questioning and debating an education bill that includes expansion of private school scholarships using taxpayer funds.
• The full Senate approved a bill that would explore ways to get cheaper prescription drugs from Canada into Florida for use in public programs like Medicaid, state prisons and Health Department clinics.
