Capitol Update – Nightly During Session – Friday, April 26, 2019

Capitol Update is daily review of state government during the Legislative Session. Today’s topics include:

• Long days and late nights mark the second to last week of session – with the fate of the next state budget in the hands of the both chambers going into the weekend.
• The Senate sent over its version of a bill that would ban sanctuary cities – leaving it up the House to make the next move.
• Various bills regarding Florida’s Constitution – including implementing an amendment approved by voters and changing the ways the Constitution can be changed – moved forward in both chambers.
