Capitol Update is a weekly review of state government. Topics this week include:

Governor Rick Scott outlined priorities for the Legislative session in his final State of the State Address.
In his opening day address, Senate President Joe Negron called for passage of Senate Bill 4, a higher education funding bill, which the full Senate voted to approve Thursday.
House Speaker Richard Corcoran called on Representatives to hold the line against any form of tax increases.
