Capitol Update – Week Ending 02/24/2017

  • A bill that would eliminate Enterprise Florida is ready for the full House; it was amended to keep Visit Florida with more oversight and a reduced budget.
  • House and Senate committees held “open mic week” for lawmakers and citizens to pitch projects they want to be included in the state budget.
  • Secretary of State Ken Detzner announced the four people who will be inducted this year into the Florida Artists Hall of Fame.
