8/27/24 Capitol Update Extended – PSC Hears Testimony in TECO Rate Hike Request

The Public Service Commission is taking testimony on a $445 million rate hike request by Tampa Electric Company. Lawyers for consumer groups questioned TECO’s president on the request for 11.5% Return on Equity (ROE), tied for the highest ROE in all pending electric rate cases in the country.
