8/19/25 Capitol Update Extended – Candidates and PACs Appeal Fines for Campaign Reporting Violations

The Florida Elections Commission reduced fines for campaign reporting violations for most people who showed up to explain why they missed deadlines. Some were affected by hurricanes. Others struggled with getting report forms from the online system, filling them out and filing them.
