7/1/25 Public Service Commission Rate Hearing on Florida Public Utilities
This purpose of this hearing is to consider a proposed Settlement Agreement between Florida Public Utilities Company (FPUC), the Office of Public Counsel, Jackson County School Board, City of Marianna, and Jackson County resolving all issues in FPUC’s rate case. FPUC filed a petition for a rate increase in August 2024, and the Commission issued its final order on the case April 2025. Intervenors then requested a hearing on the order, before submitting the proposed Settlement Agreement. FPUC’s electric division currently provides electric service to 33,100 customers in two distinct service areas: the Northeast Division (Fernandina Beach) and the Northwest Division (Marianna).
