6/28/18 General Edmund Kirby Smith Statue Location Selection Committee

The purpose of this meeting is to evaluate and vote on where the Edmund Kirby Smith statue will be publically displayed once transferred to the state, pursuant to Ch. 2018-019, Laws of Florida. The statue of the Confederate general located in National Statuary Hall will be replaced with a statue of educator and civil rights leader Mary McLeod Bethune.
