6/11/25 Capitol Update Extended – Clemency Board Considered 54 Requests for Pardons, Granted Most
The Governor and members of the Cabinet, meeting in their capacity as Florida’s Clemency Board, considered 54 applications for clemency from people convicted of crimes years ago. Most were pardoned and had their civil rights restored. Some were interviewed in person by the board and asked to explain their crimes and what they’ve done since to deserve clemency.
