6/1/26 Capitol Update Extended: Attorney General James Uthmeier Files Lawsuit Against OpenAI

Attorney General James Uthmeier announced that his office had filed a civil lawsuit against OpenAI as well as its CEO, Sam Altman. The lawsuit comes after Uthmeier said OpenAI’s ChatGPT software was used in the planning of the mass shooting on FSU’s campus last spring.
