5/22/25 Tobacco Advisory Council

In 2007, the Florida Legislature established the Tobacco Education and Use Prevention Advisory Council (TAC) in section 381.84, Florida Statutes. The council is comprised of 23 members, with the State Surgeon General serving as the chair. The council’s main duties are to offer advice to the Surgeon General on the direction and scope of the Comprehensive Statewide Tobacco Education and Use Prevention Program that focuses on tobacco use and youth.
