5/20/25 Capitol Update Extended – Public Service Commission Approves Utilities’ Storm Hardening Costs

The Public Service Commission approved storm hardening plans by Florida Power & Light, Duke Energy, Tampa Electric Company and Florida Public Utilities Company. Under a law passed in 2019, customers pay in advance for the cost of those projects. This year, all four companies reached agreements with the Office of Public Counsel on the projects for which customers will foot the bill.
