4/24/24 Florida Historic Cemeteries Program Advisory Council

This council provides guidance and recommendations to the Division of Historical Resources regarding the duties and responsibilities of the Historic Cemeteries Program. Nine members are appointed by the Secretary of State.

The Historic Cemeteries Program was established by House Bill 49 in 2023. It serves to encourage municipalities, planning departments, colleges and universities, community organizations, and other stakeholders to work together to preserve, rehabilitate, and share information relating to abandoned and historic cemeteries.
