3/29/21 Florida Public Service Commission Nominating Council
The Public Service Commission Nominating Council is comprised of 12 members appointed by the Senate President and House Speaker. Members recommend candidates to the Governor who selects a nominee that must be confirmed by the Florida Senate. The Public Service Commission seat being applied for is the unexpired term vacancy formerly held by Julie Brown who resigned on February 19th when she was appointed by Governor DeSantis to serve as Department of Business and Professional Regulation Secretary.
