2/3/26 Capitol Update Extended – New Claims Bill Limits Start Advancing in Senate; Negotiations Ahead

A bill to increase the caps on what plaintiffs in lawsuits against a government entity can be awarded without seeking approval from the Legislature has started moving in the Senate. The sponsor says it’s a starting point for negotiations with the House.
