2/25/26 Capitol Update Extended: Governor Honors Frederick Douglass with Statue in St. Augustine

A statue of abolitionist Frederick Douglass was unveiled in St. Augustine where he gave a speech in 1889. The memorial is one in a series of statues of Founding Fathers and other great Americans the state has dedicated in celebration of the 250th anniversary of America’s independence.
