2/23/26 Capitol Update Extended: Former Senator Charlie Dean Dies at 86

Former Senator Charlie Dean has passed away at the age of 86. He served in the House from 2002 to 2007 and in the Senate from 2007 to 2016. Prior to his election to the Legislature, he was a longtime Citrus County sheriff.
